Howie is currenly in foster and is receiving physical therapy, bowel & bladder training . He came to Chihuahua Rescue after witnesses saw a man place two puppies in a cardboard box. put the box behind the tire of his pickup truck, back over the box 3 times, then speed away. The horrified witness opened the box and found one puppy had been killed, but Howie was still alive, crying in pain and with a crushed back, pelvis and legs- some bones crushed to almost powder. He rapidly went into shock, but miraculously survived. He is paralyzed from the middle of the back down, but has some residual motor skills in one of his back legs. He is a great little guy and would make a super companion in the right home.
Fluffy boy, REMO is so very depressed that you feel it when you walk in the room. Sad circumstances forced him out of his home of 9 years and he's still hoping she will come back for him. They never will.
Toby, seen here twice, is a gorgeous, gentle sweetheart. Perfect for someone looking for a laid back companion.
Rootbeer was brought to us by a nice lady who found him abandoned in her neighborhood.
We are certain that his fear of people was caused by severe abuse.
Right now, we can't get near him but in time, he will learn to trust humans and become a very loving dog. Please watch his progress.

Malak is a very handsome little boy who was found on a cold windy night, sitting on the doorstep of a very nice man who took him in. His matted fur, tightly wound into dreadlocks and covered with mud, clearly told his sad story. Malak had probably been searching for his owners for a long time. He missed them and wondered where they were. Malak was abandoned.
